Frequently asked questions
Which health insurance is the cheapest in Cugnasco-Gerra for an adult aged 26 or over?
In 2026, without accident cover: Agrisano (AGRIsmart) at 506.95 CHF a month with a deductible of 300 CHF, and Helsana (BeneFit PLUS Hausarzt R2) at 401.75 CHF with the 2'500 CHF deductible. With accident cover: Agrisano (AGRIsmart) at 533.85 CHF, and Agrisano (AGRIsmart) at 423.45 CHF.
How much does accident cover cost in basic insurance in Cugnasco-Gerra?
For an adult aged 26 or over with Agrisano (AGRIsmart), the premium rises from 506.95 CHF a month without accident cover to 533.85 CHF with accident cover, at the 300 CHF deductible: 26.90 CHF a month, 322.80 CHF a year. You only need this cover if you are not already fully insured for accidents under the Accident Insurance Act (UVG/LAA). If you work at least 8 hours a week for the same employer, their accident insurance generally also covers non-occupational accidents.
Why is the FOPH-approved premium higher than the price shown?
The large amount is the FOPH-approved premium — the same one as on priminfo.admin.ch, shown under each price — less the redistribution of the environmental levies (the CO₂ levy and the VOC incentive tax). In 2026 every insured person in Switzerland receives 61.80 CHF, which their insurer deducts from the premium invoices: 5.15 CHF a month, the same amount for everyone, whatever the insurer, the model or the deductible. The ranking is therefore unchanged. This amount is not necessarily your final invoice: your canton’s individual premium reduction or a discount for annual payment are added where they apply. For example, the approved premium of 512.10 CHF at Agrisano (AGRIsmart) gives 506.95 CHF after redistribution.
Until when can I change health insurer for 2026?
Your cancellation must reach your current insurer by 30 November 2025 at the latest; the change takes effect on 1 January 2026. The premiums on this page are those approved by the FOPH for 2026.
